Heritage University
Heritage University is undergoing the development of a curriculum program designed to educate sincere students in the history of ancient and modern Pentecostalism, including the Oneness theological position that has continued to be held by those more thoroughly committed to true Apostolicism.
Once the curriculum is finished the school will offer extended courses through the internet, based on the historical development of the (original) Apostolic Christian Church of the first Century A.D., including the infrastructure of its doctrinal position of, One God, manifestly revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost... apart from, there is no God.
The strength of the Apostolic movement is found in its doctrine. The significance and validity of repentance, water baptism into the name of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit filled life are three of the main components for which the apostolic movement has been recognized throughout the annals of history.
The history of the oneness movement is paralleled with its belief in the oneness of God in Christ, the authority of water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
The movement would be nothing without the doctrine, and the doctrine would have no validity without the historical record of the movement. Therefore, Heritage University will endeavor to establish a curriculum that will reveal the biblical timeline of events which have followed the activity of historic apostolicism throughout the course of history since Pentecost 30 A.D..
It is both, true and well documented, that while some refer to modern Pentecostalism as a restoration movement, the church has always existed since its inception in the book of the Acts of the Apostles, and throughout the course of history. It has never ceased to exist, therefore, it could not have been restored from a fallen condition.
History must be understood, how that Roman Catholicism emerged only in post apostolic times (or after the demise of the original apostles) building their non-apostolic ideas and philosophies, and converting them into a traditional ideology. For centuries the history of the world became governed by the Roman Catholic time-clock. While the true apostolic church was held in check by Roman persecutions and inquisitions, the apostolic church held its poise, and refused to surrender.
Given the opportunity in North America, the re-emergence (not restoration) of the Apostolic faith from Reformation (traditionalist) views, witnessed a resurgence of Holy Spirit outpourings with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, baptism into the name of Jesus Christ, and the doctrine of the Oneness of God manifest in Jesus Christ.
Heritage University will impress in its curriculum the knowledge of spiritual awakenings! We feel that this better exemplify's the transitional period from which the modern Apostolic faith movement re-emerged at the turn of the 20th century.
Heritage University will be fully accredited, and offer degrees from Associate through the Doctorial level.
